Our nomadic caravan stretches forth in silence. We move to the rhythm of camels, in an almost hypnotic pendulum movement. The saddle of our hosts, heated by an arrogant sun, gives off the sweet and delicate scent of leather. We are approaching Al Khaluf. The landscape is almost lunar. The sand’s color has changed to a blinding white. On these sugar dunes, we become minuscule. ‘Sugar Leather’ is like a piece of leather covered in white sand and caramelized by the sun. Labdanum (pron. Lab-DuH-numb) is a sticky, brown resin distilled from the rockrose plant found in the Mediterranean. It’s sweet, thick, smokiness lends a spicy backbone to Oriental style perfumes, and combines well with leather and other heavy spices. Labdanum is also one of the best “fixatives” in perfume, making other notes last longer and smell stronger in a composition.     Exactly as described
    Although it says unisex I feel it leaning more masculine. You HAVE to like the smell of cinnamon and leather!!!! Those are definitely the two top notes. It’s certainly a spicy fragrance so it reads very sexy in my opinion. As time passes the initial notes definitely settle so you’re able to catch those more soft, light florals in there but still a nice touch of that cinnamon and leather. It takes a confidant woman to pull of this scent and honestly I think any man would enjoy this scent for the fall/winter time! 4 stars only because I don’t think I’ll reach for this fragrance as much as others but still a good sample to have in my collection!

    The way this leather is done is not pleasant to my nose. It makes the already sweet fragrance come across sickly in a nauseating way. I will not be using this and cannot recommend because of this. However these things are subjective so.

    can’t believe that the full size bottle is $205, this perfume stinks so bad. smells like it was trying to copy maison mataha at first smell but once it settled its disgusting.

    This is the worst smelling perfume I have ever smelled in my life. DO NOT I REPEAT DO NOTTTTTTTTT GET THIS. Save yourself the curiosity. It smells like carmex chapstick.
