I suppose maybe it was the hype, but I was really hoping for that bright tangy lilac and a sweet but slightly umami bite from the gooseberry. Ultimately the Amber is definitely the main star and the other two notes stand behind it. maybe that's why I'm rating it lower, I was assuming the white amber would have been more of a background scent. that being said, it's nice and clean-it reminded me of a nice shampoo from a quality hotel.
