Tonka beans are tiny, shriveled, black seeds from the Tonka tree found in Central and South America. Their slightly sweet, vanillic, and smoky hay scent adds a spicy, gourmand edge to a fragrance. Tonka beans work best in spicy and sweet scents featuring similar notes: clove, vanilla, heliotrope, bitter almonds, labdanum, cinnamon, etc. Their vanilla and hay-like scent is ideal for fall or winter, but usually blends well enough to wear any time you need a little sweet, warm spice to liven up the citrus or wood notes in a fragrance.

About the brand
Explore Prada
Italian fashion house Prada was founded by Mario Prada in 1913. A set of numbered Exclusive "artisan fragrances" was first offered by Prada at their boutiques and select department stores in 2003. Each scent focused on a single note—Iris, Orange Flower, Tuberose, Violet, etc. Additions to this line were made again in 2007 and 2010. Prada's first mass market fragrance offering, Prada Eau de Parfum, was released in 2004. The Prada "Ephemeral Infusion" line, which highlighted some of the notes from the Prada Exclusive line and featured more costly ingredients, was introduced in 2007 with Infusion d'Iris.

    Yuck - not for me
    I was excited for my first Prada event but yikes. I get a hint of chocolate which is intriguing but there was something I couldn't identify and I saw another comment that said a peppery scent and that's exactly it. That's the off-putting sent. and it's so weird because I love pepper on everything but there's chocolate and ... pepper? there's also a weird baby powder hint as well. I'm not sure if I will do another Prada scent... maybe one more but no more in this candy line.

    This smells horrible. If you like smelling like black pepper, this is for you. I can't believe I paid extra for this. I'm better off going to the dollar store and getting something there. It wouldn't matter what, because it would be better this crap.
