Tonka beans are tiny, shriveled, black seeds from the Tonka tree found in Central and South America. Their slightly sweet, vanillic, and smoky hay scent adds a spicy, gourmand edge to a fragrance. Tonka beans work best in spicy and sweet scents featuring similar notes: clove, vanilla, heliotrope, bitter almonds, labdanum, cinnamon, etc. Their vanilla and hay-like scent is ideal for fall or winter, but usually blends well enough to wear any time you need a little sweet, warm spice to liven up the citrus or wood notes in a fragrance.

    Beautiful Scent with a touch of Mystery
    I loved this one. It does have some smooth, sweet notes from the tonka, and I almost get a bit of a sweet berry undertone or something, but it's more grown up and mature with the added pepper/bergamot note. I really love it and it feels special. Something warm and inviting for date night or a special occasion (although I love it enough to wear more frequently)

    For me, this scent had a very strong Vick's Vapo Rub smell. Which is a bummer because reading what notes and scent profiles are listed - I thought this would be more for me.
