So the smell was very strong at first. I tucked it in a drawer for a while as I wanted this for cooler weather. Over time the scent wafting from the drawer mellowed out and I could detect the different notes, so I started using it as our weather has cooled. I can detect the the tonka bean in the finish, but it has a lovely earthy and spicy scent up front.
