Atelier Materi - Cacao Porcelana
A rare variety, this white cocoa grows in the heart of the oldest plantations, in Piura, north-west Peru. Extracted by hand from the pods, the beans are fermented before being sun-dried and roasted.
In order to capture the most beautiful facets of this white cocoa, the perfumer collaborated with a French Maître Chocolatier to obtain the perfect roasting, thus revealing sensual nutty and milky notes, with Tonka bean undertone.
After a sweet rum opening, the perfumer Marie Hugentobler unveils the addictive bitterness of the cocoa, comforted by powdery and woody notes. A dry down of light tobacco, patchouli and sandalwood follows, giving CACAO PORCELANA its sensual and unique signature.

It's rich and creamy and comforting and stays and makes you want to cuddle up with a cup of hot chocolate and read a book. The jasmine/immortale/davana white floral combination in this does NOT work. I think it's the jasmine that is the culprit. It gives the florals a sour accord among the other predominantly drier notes of cocoa, tobacco, patchouli, and sandalwood. I read other reviews that said it was too sweet and faded fast, which wasn't the case for me. This lasted a good 6+ hours on me, especially on my clothes and the dry-down is more on the masculine side; a dry woods plume. From the first spray to its dry down, it's an uncomfortable journey with my skin chemistry. My final thoughts were: This would work if I were a guy, but that floral accord would be challenging & I'm going to try layering this with a vanilla body oil/lotion to see if I change my mind. Right now it's a pass.00

No idea what is causing the fecal smell because the top notes aren't anything unusual.
