Tonka beans are tiny, shriveled, black seeds from the Tonka tree found in Central and South America. Their slightly sweet, vanillic, and smoky hay scent adds a spicy, gourmand edge to a fragrance.     This scent is not for me. I thought it would be different with the lavender, patchouli and tonka bean but I can’t really smell these notes. I don’t think they blend very well for this type of fragrance.
