About the brand
Explore Nanette Lepore
Driven by her passion for a good party and her tenacious commitment to quality craftsmanship, Nanette Lepore built a fashion empire. Nanette was born in Youngstown, Ohio, to an eccentric Modern artists and a stylishly smart schoolteacher. When she wasn’t traipsing across the country with her family in a VW Bus, she was sewing sheets into gowns for the neighbors. She continued to love fashion throughout her bohemian upbringing and when she married painter Robert Savage, the young couple headed east to take on New York. The birth of her daughter, Violet, sparked a sense of vibrant life in her designs and the next year she staged her first runway show.
Nanette, who was name-checked in one of the Pussycat Dolls' songs, has made a name for herself in the world of fragrances, too. Her first self-titled fragrance from 2004 is a floral-fruity composition with dominant notes of rose, cranberry and violet. 2005 saw the presentation of her second fragrance. Shanghai Butterfly is a women's fragrance built around fresh and luminous notes of citruses and green apples and soft floral accords. Love Bird, the third perfume of the American fashion designer, was released in 2007. This composition is dominated by a floral heart. The fourth fragrance of the house of Nanette Lepore hit the shelves in 2009. This perfume is bursting with oriental and floral notes like incense, red pepper and violet.

- TWTashawna W.09/20/2024Reviews 2Products received 0Baby PowderYou’d be better off just mixing some baby power with vodka. This perfume makes the air around you feel astringent. It lays heavy in your mouth like a cornstarch laden gravy. Thankfully the scent dissipates quickly and doesn’t linger. Best paired with absolutely anything so you can drown out the scent of talc.My ratingsFloralElegantWorkoutSummerPowderyEasy-going10
