The New Savant - Androgyne Candle
Androgyne began with Ingrid's love of Paris – from the hotels, to the music, to the sounds of the street and of course, the people. It's an exploration of sensuality and the space beyond binaries. Neither masculine nor feminine, this is a scent that seems to shift ever so slightly with time. If "je ne sais quoi" could be embodied in a fragrance, this would be it.
Imagine: a candlelit lounge in Paris, sumptuous velvet, red roses, the crackling of a vinyl record and the allure of a beautiful stranger.

Base: Smoked Resin, Dark Woods, Rich Incense

All of our products are made by hand, so you may notice some slight variations or imperfections. This includes: small dents or scratches on the packaging, minor discoloration of the wax, labels that aren't perfectly straight, etc. None of these things impact the quality of the candle or its burn.

The New Savant is a modern scent studio located in Brooklyn, NY. We blend high-end, original fragrances with approachable materials, to create something that looks good and smells better. TNS candles are meant to be burned and enjoyed.
We use domestic suppliers, metal vessels (which are infinitely recyclable) and minimal packaging materials. Our name honors the untraditional, self-made path in life.
Our scents are designed by co-founder, Ingrid Nilsen, and brought to life by master perfumers. Ingrid uses scent notes, like steamed rice or desert air, that have been left out of traditional candle canon to create something delightfully new.
