The weather outside is frightful, and our lips are definitely feeling the effects of the dry, cold winter air. Luckily, a few simple things can help take the edge off the elements’ toll on your pout. Here, we give you the inside scoop on getting refreshed, rehydrated winter lips.

Step 1: Exfoliate
A good scrub helps remove dead skin cells, releases toxins and allows the lips to breathe. To make a DIY lip scrub, mix one tablespoon of honey with a teaspoon of brown sugar. Try not to taste it (good luck!) and gently massage in circular motions on the lips for two minutes, for plump, hydrated lips.
Once the exfoliation is complete, the skin on your lips will be able to absorb beneficial properties of lip balm quicker, faster, and more efficiently.
Step 2: Layer on a Balm
Keep chapped lips at bay with an infusion of moisture in the form of Scentbird’s Melting Lip Balm. Equipped with almond, coconut, and shea butter oil (as well as Vitamins A and E), our balms rejuvenate and shield skin against free radicals. Choose between our lineup of flavors (Raw Honey, Modern Rose, Green Tea, or Pink Champagne to be exact), then use the cooling metal applicator to glide the cruelty-free formula across your lips.
