A perfumista vlogger with an impressive following, the founder of The Fragrance Society, and the fiercest fragrance enthusiast you’ll come across, Tiff Benson is a pretty big deal in the world of perfumery. And now, she’s the first star we’re spotlighting on our brand-new Scents of Style edit. We caught up with her to chat about life as a fragrance and beauty influencer, her favorite food, the majesty of Creed, and the seamless transition of any scent from a mere accessory to being the focus of any outfit. 

How does scent fit into your GRWM routine?

I’m a perfumista so I live and breathe fragrance! I’m always picking out and wearing my scents on the day and scents of the night, scenting my home, etc. I’m the type of woman who even enjoys a bit of fragrance in my skincare and makeup products. I just love it so much and can never get enough!

From your perspective, how are style and scent linked?

Fragrance has the power to transport us, evoke memories, and boost our mood. No wonder we want our homes, clothes, and cars to smell good! But fragrance is also a personal expression of style. Whether you prefer a clean, fresh scent or something more exotic, your fragrance says a lot about who you are and how you want to be perceived. And just like fashion, fragrance can be used to express your mood and reflect your personality.

They say that fragrance is the finishing touch to any outfit, and there’s a lot of truth to that. The right scent can not only make you smell great, but it can also boost your confidence and help you to feel your best. 

How does Creed suit your style vibe? 

I take pride in my personal style. I would describe it as minimalist, effortless, and a bit conservative. I love putting together outfits that make me feel beautiful. My wardrobe is filled with options I’ve carefully selected over time. I’m constantly editing my closet so my wardrobe is filled with more meaningful pieces.

Creed is like this in a way.  They’ve managed to create a range of scents that are beautiful and classic. Tasteful, which is how I prefer it. Totally worth the investment. 

Creed Aventus is absolutely iconic. Many people know this masculine version, but could you tell us about Aventus for Her?

Aventus for Her has a unique smell that’s long-lasting and intoxicating– it’s no wonder so many people are drawn to it!

The top notes are green apple, bergamot, patchouli, lemon, pink pepper, and violet; the middle notes are musk, rose, sandalwood, and styrax; and the base notes are black currant, peach, amber, ylang-ylang, and lilac.

I believe your fragrance should be an extension of your personality so it’s always nice to have several options to match your mood. This fragrance is a bit of a confidence booster for me– and I love that!
