There’s no time like the spring to embrace all things new, fresh, and exciting, especially if they’re worthy of all of these adjectives at once. We’re not the ones to give accolades so freely, but this particular brand and its newest offsprings are worthy of all of its praise coming their way.

THE BACK STORY
Because you might think you know gourmand perfumes, but the moment that golden rum in Bite Me hits your nostrils, you’ll feel pampered beyond your senses. How do they do it? Or, should I rephrase, how do we do it? It’s simple, we use the forces of democracy.
We put our subscribers in the driver’s seat and let them choose our next scent. We’re working with world-renowned perfumers who work around a theme (you can smell the sass in just the name of these new scents) and create three different fragrances which then are sent to more than 50,000 tastemakers. They sniff, they vote, they play favorites, and we bottle the winners.
THE SCENTS
Bite Me and Well Played are fragrances that are as real as they come.
Bite Me is a gourmand fragrance that doesn’t heavily rely on vanilla to announce its decadent profile. Instead, it tasks strawberry and red apple to lead the charge to your heart right from the opening. Polished to its highest shine, the red apple starts its slow dance with vanilla orchid and jasmine in the heart. Vanilla orchid smells like floral petals wrapped around vanilla pods. Add the sweet juiciness of the fruits and you can almost smell it on your skin. It’s sweet, it’s addictive, it’s comforting. Then the whole mix is dropped in a barrel of a golden rum, to soak in the aroma and get drunk off solely from it. The finished product is boozy gourmand, just a little bit dizzy, with its sexy credentials boosted when we say it’s the perfect date night perfume.
Conjuring up high-rolling games played behind dark curtains, Well Played is an amber forward soft, and spicy scent. The volume on this amazing scent is turned down, almost as if not to draw attention to the player itself. It starts off like a sun on a bright summer morning, fresh and relentless with optimism, conveyed by bergamot and fresh lavender. Tonka bean, cocoa seed, and a light air of incense dark up the skies making a swift turn from the fresh trajectory. The fragrance now is warm, but never stifling, with the initial brightness running like an undercurrent. We’re confident but never cocky. Nevertheless, we’ll say, Well Played is one of the best warm scents you’ll try this year, and quite possibly, the next.
