What were your first impressions of Steamed Rainbow by D.S. & Durga?
I was surprised at the versatility of this fragrance. This is definitely unisex, and I can wear it on any occasion during the cold months. It could be worn daily, and after a couple of hours, it becomes woody and musky, which is pretty cool.
How do places inspire your scent selection and nostalgia around scent?
Places have a profound influence on my scent selection and evoke strong feelings of nostalgia. When I think about the different locations I’ve visited or lived in, each one carries its own distinct atmosphere and memories, which often influence the scents I choose to wear. For example, memories of a coastal vacation might lead me to select a fresh, citrus fragrance. Nostalgia plays a significant role too. Certain scents can transport me back to cherished moments—a particular perfume might remind me of a special event or a beloved person who wore it. It’s like reliving those experiences through scent, where fragrance becomes a powerful trigger for memories and emotions.
